The Meat(?) Sandwich is one of the quirkier food items in 99 Nights in the Forest. Its name leans into the joke that nobody is quite sure what is in it, but mechanically it is a real consumable that restores two hunger pips (🍴🍴) and, more unusually, replenishes Alien Tech Energy. That second effect is what sets it apart from ordinary meat: it ties directly into the alien gear loop, not just your stomach.
You cannot cook or craft this one. It only turns up around the UFO content, inside a Mothership UFO or near a Broken UFO, so it is effectively a bonus you scoop up while you are already raiding alien sites for tech and the Laser Sword.
Is it worth grabbing? If you are running alien-powered equipment, absolutely, because keeping that Alien Tech Energy topped up is otherwise awkward and this is a rare way to do it on the go. As pure food it is decent but not remarkable, two pips is a moderate fill. Treat it as a dual-purpose pickup: free hunger plus a recharge. Never walk past one on a Mothership run, but do not go out of your way hunting UFOs just for the sandwich.
