Gasoline Tank

Two names point to the same item: the wiki's gallery lists it as the Gas Tank, and the page itself describes a Gasoline canister. In the game's data it is the Gasoline Tank, a Large Item found in The Stairwell. A Depot buys it, and the floor's page values it at 2 Salvage Scrap, which Cobbler pays out as 20 Gold.

Where to look

The wiki says large items turn up in the Staircase Modules, in containers, inside Garages and on the floor of Depot rooms. Garages are the ones opened with a Garage Key, a key variant that works only in The Stairwell. According to the key's page, opening a garage reveals either two scrap items or a flood of Stems, so the canister can be part of a gamble.

The two-hand rule

Gasoline Tank is one of the items that blocks the hotbar: the player must hold it with both hands and cannot switch items without dropping it. Large items can be carried more efficiently with a Shopping Cart, and they may be stored in the Rift or in suitcases.

Page status

The page is short. Its Appearance section holds only a placeholder, its only picture is captioned as the in-game view, and the item shares the Storage Wars achievement with the other heavy finds.
