Broken Computer guide
On the wiki, the Broken Computer is described in one line: a TV whose screen is broken. In The Stairwell it is a Large Item with a single job, being sold at a Depot, and it is the best-paying of the plain large items, worth 4 Salvage Scrap on the floor's list, which Cobbler converts at 10 Gold each into 40 Gold.
Reading the numbers
The other common large items are cheaper: the Gasoline Tank, Large Screw and Pack of Gween Soda each give 2, and the Broken Lamp and crate of Bottles give 3. Only the Tophat, at 5, beats the computer. A Peach Cobbler costs 250 Gold, or 25 scrap, so just over six computers would pay for one.
How the Depot works
Dropping an item into a Depot gives scrap, and each disposable item gives 1 to 5. The first Depot use earns the Paperclip Challenge badge. Scrap then goes to Cobbler in Landing 99 as Gold.
Handling and achievement
Large items require both hands, so the hotbar is locked until the computer is dropped. Shopping Carts make hauling easier. Its page also lists Storage Wars, for 1000+ Gold in a single Depot deposit.
