Paper

The Paper, also called the Solution Paper, is the decoder for The Library puzzle in The Hotel. It can be found in only one place: on top of the Large Office Desk in Room 50. A page from a binder covered in drawings, it is the key to turning the digits in the Books into the code for the padlock on Door 51.

What the page shows

When a player enters Room 50, the game picks five random shapes out of eight possible ones and prints them with Roman numerals I to V. Below them is a picture of the lock, and a blue rectangle on the right depicts five combination tumblers numbered the same way. The eight shapes are Circle, Cross, Diamond, Hexagon, Pentagon, Square, Star and Triangle.

Reading it with the Books

Each Book gives one shape and one single digit from 0 to 9. Place the digit for each pictured shape into its numbered tumbler. For example, Pentagon 5, Hexagon 2, Star 1, Square 0 and Circle 3 would give 52103. Any code from 00000 to 99999 is possible.

Details

The page always shows Pentagon as 4, only to demonstrate where the numbers sit. SUPER HARD MODE!!! uses 11 numerals, scrambled, and the Paper takes about 4 seconds to pick up. It disappears when the exit opens.
