Black Dragon Fish guide

Black Dragon Fish belongs to The Depths and only shows up at Night, with Deep Coral as bait. The in-game note calls it a menacing fish with sharp fins and an eerie, black-scaled body. It is a Rare catch with no weather or season attached.

Its recorded weights are an average of 27.5 kg and a maximum of 103.2 kg, which ranks 280th of 663. Sales are a little above the middle of the table: C$12.50 per kg gives an average of C$343.80, ranking 434th of the 742 documented fish. It gives 120 base XP, which is modest. So this is a catch that pays better in cash than in experience.

Goblin Shark is the other Rare fish listed for The Depths, so the two of them share the same night session. The Depths also sells Rod Of The Depths and Onirifalx, which makes preparing for a trip simple.

Verdict: worth a night trip if you are already planning to fish The Depths. Bring Deep Coral, wait for Night and cast. It will not change your finances, but it is a reliable sale of around C$340 and a decent partner to Goblin Shark.
