Basic Present guide
Basic Present was a Limited catch from Winter Village, fished with Magnet bait, and today it can no longer be obtained. The wiki describes it as a Christmas gift wrapped in white and red paper, and it barely varies in size: 9 kg on average with a ceiling of 9.9 kg.
Its numbers were modest. An average sale of C$120 puts it 568th of 742 documented fish by value, and it pays only 40 base XP. By weight it sits 474th of 663 fish with a recorded maximum. Nobody chased this one for money; it was a seasonal collectible.
Winter Village gave the same Limited rarity to Candy Cane Carp, Cookie, Festive Bait Crate, Glass of Milk, Icicle and Ornament Fish, and Candy Cane Rod is the rod sold in that zone. Treat this entry as a record of a past event. Since it can't be caught now, there is nothing to plan around beyond knowing what it was and how little it paid.
