Northstar Serpent
“The Northstar Serpent is an insanely large and menacing sea serpent species. They have a long and spiny body, with bioluminescent fins throught it. Near their heads, they have six tentacle-like appendages, which are spun in a screw motion to move at incredible speeds. Attempting to catch the Northstar Serpent will almost always result in a catastrophe, those who are capable of hooking and catching such a formidable beast are truly legendary anglers.”— in-game Bestiary description

Northstar Serpent guide
Northstar Serpent is the heavyweight of Winter Village's Limited fish, and it is now both Unobtainable and Removed. The wiki lists Holly Berry bait and Foggy weather. The description calls it an enormous, menacing sea serpent with a spiny body, bioluminescent fins and six tentacle-like appendages near its head, and warns that hooking it usually ends in catastrophe.
The size matches the warning. It averaged 17,000 kg and reached 42,000 kg, ranking 61st of 663 fish by maximum weight. At C$1 per kg an average catch was worth C$17,000, which is 95th of the 742 documented fish, comfortably in the top fifth of all fish. Base XP was 5,000.
It lived among Basic Present, Candy Cane Carp, Cookie, Festive Bait Crate, Glass of Milk and Icicle, all Limited items in the same zone, and it was by far the most valuable of the group by weight. Candy Cane Rod was the rod sold there.
Verdict: for anyone who owns one, this is the standout of the winter collection and worth keeping unless you urgently need C$17,000. For everyone else, it is a record of how heavy past event fish could be. Nothing in the data gives a way to catch it now, so do not waste time hunting for it.
