Santa Pufferfish guide

Santa Pufferfish was a holiday fish of Winter Village, and it is now marked Limited, Unobtainable and Removed. The in-game text calls it a pufferfish with a Santa hat and adds how jolly it is. It was caught on Peppermint Worm bait at night in Foggy Winter weather.

Its numbers were good for an event catch. It weighed 0.8 to 6 kg, averaging 2.4 kg, but sold at C$800 per kg, which gave an average value of C$1,320. It granted 1,200 base XP. Its average value ranks 295th of the 742 documented fish, while its maximum weight is 532nd of 663. The money came from the per-kg rate, not the size, which is why a small fish ranked so well on value.

Six other Limited catches sat with it in the village: Basic Present, Candy Cane Carp, Cookie, Festive Bait Crate, Glass of Milk and Icicle. The zone also sold Candy Cane Rod.

You cannot fish for it today. If you are deciding whether to chase holiday fish, this one is a good example of why: the highest payoffs came from rate per kg and large XP, not weight. Treat it as a reference entry, and do not trade anything of value for a promise that it will return.
