Icebeard Shark guide

Icebeard Shark is a Mythical fish that only bites in Northern Expedition, and only when the conditions line up: Winter season, Night, and Truffle Worm on the hook. That is a narrow window, so plan the trip instead of stumbling into it.

The payoff is real. An average catch weighs 347.7 kg and sells for about C$6,000, which puts it at 155th of the 742 documented fish by average value. The size range is wide, from 222 kg up to 1,404 kg, and that maximum ranks 158th of 663 fish for weight. It also pays 2,500 base XP, a lot for one reel-in. The value works out to C$13.34 per kg, so the money comes from sheer mass, not from a high price per kilo.

In the same zone you will also meet other Mythical fish: Frozen Walnut, Frigid Mammoth Tusk, Glacial Sturgeon and Green Energy Crystal. Northern Expedition sells the Arctic Rod and the Crystalized Rod, so you can pick up your gear on the spot. Keep the shark if you are chasing XP; sell it when you need a quick C$6,000.
