Livyatan
“An ancient predator from a forgotten age, the Livyatan prowls the deepest reaches of the ocean in search of colossal prey. Possessing immense strength and a ferocious temperament, it views anything entering its territory as a potential target, showing no hesitation in ramming or mauling boats that cross its path. Its thunderous calls echo across the sea, warning all nearby that a true threat is hunting.”— in-game Bestiary description

Livyatan guide
Livyatan is the Exotic fish you hunt on Ancient Isle during the day with Shark Head bait. The listing describes an ancient predator that rams and mauls boats crossing its path, and its Hunt fish tag fits that picture.
The figures are large. It averages 42,000 kg and tops out at 117,600 kg, rank 49 of 663 by maximum weight. At C$1.089 per kg an average catch is worth C$45,750, which is rank 33 of the 742 documented fish, and its 52,000 base XP is the biggest number on the card. A single catch can move your level noticeably.
The company it keeps matters: Ancient Megalodon and Megalodon belong to the same rarity in the same zone, so your cast may bring either of them instead. Ancient Isle sells three rods, Krampus's Rod, Phoenix Rod and Stone Rod, so you can equip yourself there.
The practical plan is to carry Shark Head, go during the day and keep casting. It needs no specific weather or season, only the daytime window. Keep it if you want the cash, since few documented fish beat its value.
