Pollock guide
Snowcap Island is where you catch Pollock, a Common fish that the game describes as a sleek silver swimmer, often found feeding under the island's docks. It appears in Foggy or Rainy weather during Summer, with no special bait or hour listed in its entry.
Its average sale is C$68.21, at C$14.3 per kg, which ranks 632nd of 742 documented fish by value. The max weight ranks 470th of 663, and the base XP is 50. Those are low numbers on every count, which fits a Common fish found at the docks.
The rod sold in the island's zone is the Fallen Snowblade, so if you are heading to Snowcap Island anyway, that is the one to pick up for the area.
Verdict: a starter fish, so treat it as filler. Fish for it when the weather turns foggy or wet in Summer, sell it for about C$68, and use the time to chase better catches. It is a reasonable first sale for a new character, not something to plan around.
