Volcanic Vents

Volcanic Vents is a First Sea zone for players who want a rod upgrade more than a catch list. It is obtainable, has neither a crab cage nor a bait crate, and two residents are listed, an Innkeeper and a Submariner.

The rod for sale is the Volcanic Rod at C$250,000, a sizable purchase you should save for.

On the fish side, ten names are tied to the vents, including Hellfire Haddock, Embertail Eel, Molten Moray, Scalding Swordfish and Magma Leviathan, but only one has a documented value: Pyrite Pufferfish, Rare, at about C$864.2. That is a high number for a Rare fish and is worth noticing, since it hints that the rarity label undersells it. With only one priced entry, though, you cannot see the rest of the ladder.

My advice: come here when you have C$250,000 ready and want the Volcanic Rod. If you do, fish for Pufferfish while you are around. If you are earning for something else, check whether you need the vents at all.
