Blade Of Glorp

Blade Of Glorp is a quest reward from the Glorp NPC in Roslit Bay, so you earn it through that questline instead of buying it. It is obtainable and has a passive. The in-game text describes a sharp blade with a friendly UFO that uses lasers, and warns that it is hot enough to melt your hands.

The headline is Luck: 288, ranked 17th of 184 obtainable rods. That puts it ahead of nearly every rod you can buy, and close to Cinder Block Rod's 300 without that rod's crippling slowness. Lure Speed is 100 (21st of 184), Resilience is 45 (26th) and Control is 0.05, which is weak at 112th of 185. The data lists no maximum weight.

The combination is rare: top-20 Luck and top-25 speed from a quest, with no C$ cost. The weaker Control means you may lose some tense fights, but that is a small price against what the rest of the stat line delivers.

Do the Glorp questline if you want to find rare fish quickly without spending a coin. It is a strong pick for the middle and late game, and few purchasable rods match its Luck and speed together. Keep it for rarity hunting and swap to a high-Control rod if heavy fish keep escaping.
