Great Rod Of Oscar

The Great Rod Of Oscar is the Forsaken Shores option for anyone with deep pockets: it costs C$2,500,000. Its description calls it a relic of the Dead Mans Tale with a moderate boost to experience and a 5% chance to apply the spirits of Oscar.

The stats justify the cost better than most. 280 Luck ranks 19th of 184 obtainable rods, and 95 Lure Speed ranks 37th, so it is both lucky and quick. Control of 0.1 is 76th of 185, Resilience of 20 is 77th, and the 100,000 kg cap is 31st of 117.

It is also unusual in not having a cheaper rival listed with equal or higher Luck, so if you want a top-tier Luck score at this level, there is no bargain alternative to chase. Scurvy Rod is the other rod sold in Forsaken Shores, which makes a useful comparison if you are deciding what to buy there.

Buy it if you are far enough along to afford C$2,500,000 and want one of the strongest Luck and speed combinations that is actually obtainable. It is expensive, but the ranks show you are paying for real performance.
