That Resilience figure has real consequences. Resilience is the stat that helps you hold a fish, so a score that low suggests fish will slip away more easily. The rod trades safety for strong odds and fast bites.

It makes sense for experienced players who want high Luck and quick cycles and do not mind losing the occasional catch. For anyone who gets frustrated when a rare fish escapes, it is probably the wrong choice.
