Great Dreamer Rod

In Cursed Isle, on the First Sea, you can buy the Great Dreamer Rod for C$275,000. It carries a passive, though the entry does not describe what it does, so the numbers are what you have to judge it on.

They are solid without being exceptional. 147 Luck ranks 78th of 184 obtainable rods and 75 Lure Speed ranks 87th. Control of 0.17 is 48th of 185, a good position for a handling stat. Resilience of 17 is 101st, and the 100,000 kg cap is 31st of 117.

The better-value alternatives are clear. Cinder Block Rod gives 300 Luck for C$50,000, Destiny Rod gives 250 Luck for C$190,000, and Cupid's Embrace gives 214 Luck for C$15,000. All of them beat the Great Dreamer Rod on Luck while costing less.

That leaves a narrow case for it: you are already in Cursed Isle, you want a high weight cap, and you value its Control over raw Luck. As a pure Luck upgrade, you can do better for the money.
