Long Rod is a Moosewood basic at 3,000C$, with no passive and no level requirement. Its numbers read as a beginner's tool: Luck 80 ranks 125th of 184 obtainable rods, Lure Speed 20 ranks 161st of 184, and Resilience 20 ranks 77th of 184. Control is -0.1, 171st of 185, and its maximum weight of 250 kg ranks 98th of 117.
The honest comparison is not kind. Friendly Rod has 105 Luck for C$0, Original No-Life Rod has 100 for C$1, and View Smasher has 230 for C$0. Each of those is cheaper and lucky enough to beat it, so paying 3,000C$ for 80 Luck is hard to defend if you can get one of them.
