Mythical Rod review
The Mythical Rod comes from the Travelling Merchant for C$90,000, and its passive gives every fish a 30% chance to be rainbow. The description credits the power of The Keepers. If you care about rainbow variants, that chance is the reason to look at it.
Its raw numbers are modest for the price. 60 Luck ranks 148th of 184 obtainable rods, Lure Speed of 40 ranks 146th, Control of 0.05 is 112th of 185 and Resilience of 15 is 105th. Its 2,500 kg cap lands 83rd of 117 rods that list one. Nothing here is a strength; the rainbow chance carries the whole purchase.
Cheaper rods beat it on Luck: Avalanche Rod (68 Luck, C$35,000), Brick Rod (75 Luck, C$13,337) and Carrot Rod (125 Luck, C$75,000). The merchant also sells the Midas Rod, which has more Luck for less money.
Buy the Mythical Rod as a niche pick for rainbow fish, ideally once you already have a stronger main rod. As a first big upgrade, it is hard to justify.
