Crimson Cavern

Crimson Cavern has only five documented fish, but one of them dwarfs everything else in the zone: Colossal Ancient Dragon, an Exotic averaging C$156,250. The other Exotic, Lithodes Megacantha, averages C$26,666.7, so even the second-best catch is worth a fraction of the first. Below them come Viperfish (Rare) at C$1,125, Sea Raven (Uncommon) at C$500 and Red Crabsquid (Rare) at C$260.

The place is built around a royal court, with the Crimson King, Wixie and Tilli as inhabitants. A crab cage is available, but there is no bait crate.

The rod shop is the real draw. Four rods are sold: Scarlet Spincaster Rod (C$180,000), Wicked Fang Rod (C$400,000 and Level 300), Evil Pitchfork (C$1,666,000 plus crafting ingredients) and Ruinous Oath (C$5,000,000). Wicked Fang Rod is the only one that lists a level requirement.

Verdict: this zone suits players with serious savings or a long grind in mind. For a one-off visit, the Dragon is the lottery ticket. For steady income, the Rare and Uncommon fish pay little compared with the rod prices, so do not expect them to fund the purchases above.
