Base moveset

  • Shoot!COSMETIC/PASSIVE

You fight with a hand-held cursed blade: the final M1 deals 1 extra damage, and the front dash can kick away grounded ragdolled enemies.

EffectIncreases final M1 damage by 1, and allows Front Dashes to bypass ragdoll
  • MiraclesPASSIVE

Holds up to six miracles, starting with three. Three save you from a fatal hit (12.5 HP) or pay for a ragdoll cancel; dodges, taunts and some hits earn more.

EffectAllows the user to ragdoll cancel or survive death using 3 miracles
  • MiraclePASSIVE

While unarmed, blocking becomes a 360° dodge against melee and bullet attacks (0.25s window); a success shortens its cooldown, briefly disables Ankle Cutter and High Time, and earns a miracle.

EffectChanges blocking to a 360° bullet dodge with a 0.25s window and a cooldown going from 1s to 0.15s if landed
  • TauntPASSIVE

While unarmed, your M1 becomes a taunt on an enemy within 35 studs; about 2s later you earn a miracle, unless the target is ragdolled when it ends.

EffectSwitches M1s to a 2 second taunt that grants a miracle after 1.5 seconds
    UnblockableInterruptibleCan't hit ragdolled targets
  • Helping HandSPECIAL

Aimed at a target within 150 studs, the Hand Sword leaves your hand and follows the enemy, staying 5 studs behind them; using the special again retargets or recalls it.

    UnblockableUninterruptibleHits ragdolled targets
  • AmbushMove 1

Swings the cursed tool forward, ragdolling whoever it hits backward; in the air it lunges 15-20 studs first. A perfect block lets the enemy dodge the blade.

    Damage12Cooldown15s, shared with Ankle Cutter
    Perfect-blockableInterruptibleCan't hit ragdolled targetsMelee
  • StingerRAGDOLL VARIANT · Ambush

If a nearby enemy is grounded, you drive the tool downward instead of swinging, greatly extending their ragdoll.

    Damage10Cooldown15s, shared with Ankle Cutter
    BlockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsNo EvasiveMelee
  • Million StabUSE AGAIN RAGDOLL VARIANT · Stinger

After a successful Stinger, use the move again within a short window to add three rapid thrusts; the target's ragdoll lasts only about 0.31s, so they get up quickly.

Damage6, 2 per thrust, totaling 16Cooldown15s, shared with Ankle Cutter
    UnblockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsNo EvasiveMelee
  • Ankle CutterSPECIAL VARIANT · Ambush

Commands the sword to blitz forward, spinning its blade through the enemy's legs and knocking them down for 1.5 seconds; usable during stun and ragdoll.

    Damage10Cooldown15s, shared with Ambush
    360° blockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsMelee
  • BackstabMove 2

Quick stab that briefly stuns; landed from behind it stuns much longer and keeps your current M1 saved for a long time.

    Damage8Cooldown12s, shared with High Time
    UnblockableInterruptibleCan't hit ragdolled targetsMelee
  • High TimeSPECIAL VARIANT · Backstab

The Hand Sword spins upward, slicing and lifting targets into the air; usable in stun and ragdoll, and it stays off cooldown on a dead enemy without giving Awakening.

Damage12Cooldown12s, shared with Backstab, none on dead body
    360° blockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsMelee
  • TripMove 3

Kicks the target so they fall face-first; moving enemies lose ragdoll cancel, ragdolled ones take more knockback but no fall damage, and a kill or corpse hit skips the cooldown.

Damage7 for kick, 4 for fallCooldown14s, none on kill or corpse
    BlockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsMelee
  • Cheap ShotMove 4

Throws the cursed tool forward through enemies up to 60 studs away, leaving you unarmed; the blade then tracks the last enemy hit, or stays put if blocked.

    Damage7Cooldown15s
    BlockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsProjectile
  • Dirty PlaySPECIAL VARIANT · Cheap Shot

Calls the sword back, slicing through targets as it flies to you; it has its own cooldown and cannot be used during stun or ragdoll.

    Damage8Cooldown15s
    BlockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsProjectile

Jawbreaker · Awakening

  • JawbreakerAWAKENING ATTACK

Awakening usable only while unarmed, even in stun: the Hand Sword slams handle-first into the target's jaw, impairing them for 8 seconds so they can only walk and awaken.

Damage25Healing25 HP on hitAwakening refund65% on miss

Finishers

Finishers are the kill animations a move plays when it lands the last hit; the numbers are the wiki's.

  • AmbushMove 1

Finisher version: the slash cuts cleanly through the target's neck, beheading them.

    DamageInsta-killCooldown15s, shared with Ankle Cutter
    Perfect-blockableInterruptibleCan't hit ragdolled targetsMelee
  • Ankle CutterSPECIAL VARIANT · Ambush

Finisher version: the sword dashes through the victim's body and splits it in half.

    360° blockableInterruptibleHits ragdolled targetsMelee
  • BackstabMove 2

Finisher version: after the backstab, three more stabs hit the chest, then the body is pinned to the ground and kicked away.

Damage18, 12 for stabs (4 per stab), 3 for pin, 3 for kickCooldown12s, shared with High Time

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Moderate damage with low cooldowns, mostly through puppet attacks that keep the pressure on.
  • Strong against passive players who hold block: taunt for miracles, then counter their attacks with Ankle Cutter and High Time.
  • Miracles work as extra evasives, letting you escape combos again and again.
  • Can dodge most attacks repeatedly and counter with Trip or by ordering the sword to attack.
  • Backstab works as a mixup that can add an extra M1 chain on unprepared enemies.
  • The awakening leaves the target unable to fight back for 8 seconds.
  • Helping Hand moves can be used while stunned, which helps guarantee moves or combos.

Cons

  • 65 Max HP is very low next to other characters, and some simple combos can drain all of it.
  • The Hand Sword can get stuck on debris or confused by terrain while tracking, and its attacks can miss a constantly moving enemy.
  • Miracles can be wasted during combos, since the 12.5 HP they restore is quickly lost again.
  • Lacks the offense to beat turtling opponents while unarmed.

About Lucky Coward

Haruta Shigemo is the model for Lucky Coward, a free character since V1.73 that trades health for evasion. It has only 65 HP, so the kit is built to avoid damage rather than absorb it.

The core is the Miracles passive. You hold up to six, starting with three: spending three of them saves you from a fatal hit (setting your HP to 12.5), and they can also be spent on ragdoll cancels. Unarmed, blocking turns into a 360 degree dodge with a 0.25 second window, and the taunt that replaces M1 earns another miracle after about two seconds. Meanwhile Helping Hand sends the Hand Sword after a target up to 150 studs away, and its moves stay usable while you are stunned. The numbers are modest: Ambush 12 (15s, shared with Ankle Cutter), Backstab 8 (12s), Trip 7 plus 4 for the fall (14s) and Cheap Shot 7 (15s). The site's tier list rates it D at 0.643 damage per second of cooldown.

Jawbreaker is the payoff: 25 damage, 25 HP of healing, and the target can only walk and awaken for 8 seconds.

On the downside, the sword can snag on debris, miracles get wasted inside combos, and the kit lacks the offense to break a turtling opponent while you are unarmed.

Where it sits in our tier list
