How events work in Steal an Egg
Steal an Egg runs its events on a timer, not on a calendar. According to the wiki, a Rift opens somewhere on the map every 30 minutes: you go in, defeat the Overlord and earn Boss Tokens for the Boss Shop, while the Rift banner rotates roughly every 3 hours. Dr. Scramble's drones also invade every 30 minutes and drop Samples, the currency of his Experiment Shop. In the Laboratory, Dr. Scramble returns in his Mecha every 30 minutes; beating him gives Samples and progress on a 100-tier Boss Milestone track.
Two newer events are only described in the official patch notes so far. Butterfly Bloom arrived with Update 7: inside the Enchanted Tree you catch butterflies with a net and trade them for the Enchanted Mutation consumable. Nitro Race came with Update 8: a race starts every 30 minutes and pays Trophies for boosters, Nitro Mutation consumables and Win Pass pets. Each event below has pets you cannot hatch anywhere else, listed on its own page.
Rift Event
Strange Rifts are tearing open across the map. Enter one, defeat the Overlord inside, and earn rewards that can't be obtained anywhere else in Steal an Egg.

Dr. Scramble Event
Dr. Scramble has appeared, and his experiments are spreading across the map. His drones are invading the world — destroy them, collect their Samples, and unlock exclusive new rewards.
