Abyss Ocean guide
The seventh biome takes the hunt underwater. Abyss Ocean requires 2.5M Speed, and its guardian is Moby; the wiki's pet list for this biome does not include a Moby egg, so the guardian is something to outrun rather than something to hatch.
Fish, whales and El Maja
Abyss Ocean holds eight eggs, starting at Rare:
- Parrotfish (Rare, $220/s, 1m 15s, +72k Speed) and Swordfish (Epic, $1.1K/s, 2m, +81k).
- Shark (Legendary, $15K/s, 4m, +90k) and Orca (Mythic, $80K/s, 6m, +99k).
- Whale Shark ($700K/s, 10m) and Beluga Whale ($850K/s, 12m), the two Cosmics.
- Kraken (Secret, $15M/s, 2h 15m, +144k).
- El Maja (Eternal, $130M/s, 5h 30m, +180k), the top earner and fourth of the 24 Eternals.
The Beluga Whale earns only about 20% more than the Whale Shark but pays more Speed (+126k against +108k) for two extra minutes of growth, so between the two Cosmics it is the stronger egg on both counts.
Why Prehistoric is a long climb
Prehistoric asks for 18M Speed, more than seven times Abyss Ocean's requirement. The gap is 15.5M, and the whole biome's rewards together add 900k. In egg terms that is 216 Parrotfish, 124 Beluga Whales or 87 El Maja eggs, at 5 hours 30 minutes each.
So the Speed here has to come from equipment. Useful anchors from the wiki's price lists:
- Golden Treadmill: $120M, +80 Speed per step. One Whale Shark reward ($70m) gets you more than halfway.
- Red Trail: 4×, $750M. Half of one Kraken reward ($1.5b).
- The Freeze Treadmill: $3B, +100 per step. Less than a quarter of one El Maja reward ($13b).
Two banners, six sacrifice pets
Like Volcano, Abyss Ocean feeds both Riftborn and Riftbeasts. Its pets appear on the sacrifice tiers as Easy (Parrotfish, Swordfish), Medium (Shark, Orca) and Hard (Whale Shark, Beluga Whale). Kraken and El Maja are not listed, so the Cosmics are the ones to keep spare copies of.
Rift banners with these eggs
The permanent Rift rotates between egg pools, and each pool draws from a set of biomes. Abyss Ocean eggs appear in:
- RiftbornJungle · Snow · Volcano · Abyss Ocean
- RiftbeastsVolcano · Abyss Ocean · Prehistoric · Cosmic
