Steal an Egg Trails
How trails work
According to the wiki, a trail boosts the amount of Speed you gain while on the treadmill by a fixed multiplier. Higher-rarity trails cost much more but give a much larger multiplier, which is what makes them key for reaching the farthest biomes.
Two details matter: a trail gives no extra Speed when you are off the treadmill, and only one trail can be equipped at a time — equipping a higher-rarity trail replaces the active one.

Price vs benefit
"Cost per extra ×" divides each trail's price by the multiplier it adds over the previous one. "Cumulative" is what you would spend buying every trail in order. The last two columns apply the multiplier to the Treadmill (base) and to the Astral Treadmill.
