Crossing day 60 in 99 Nights in the Forest puts you well into the late game, and while the badge keeps the familiar 2 difficulty star rating, the actual challenge of "reaching the 60 day mark for the first time" is far steeper than the number suggests. Past the halfway point the forest applies constant pressure, and only colonies with deep reserves and disciplined routines tend to make it this far.

The defining problem of the 50-to-60 stretch is attrition. Tools wear down, food gets consumed faster than careless players replace it, and a single night of poor fire management can cascade into lost survivors. Successful runs here lean on a fortified, compact base, pre-stocked cooked food, backup heat sources, and upgraded weapons kept in good repair so larger night threats can be fought off rather than fled. Splitting the team into permanent gather, cook and defense duties keeps everything covered.

Like every survival tier, it grants a flat 4 diamonds, so day 60 is chased for the run itself, not the payout. Play conservatively, never overextend gathering trips at dusk, and keep a small emergency stockpile that you only touch when a night genuinely goes wrong. Steady management is what carries a colony from 60 toward the 99-day finish line.
