About
The Cat is one of the four secondary monsters in the game (alongside The Owl, The Ram and The Bat) of 99 Nights in the Forest. It is one of the 3 monsters that have a 1/3 chance of spawning depending on which of the Jungle Biome, Snow Biome or Volcano biome is present. The Cat will only spawn if the Jungle is present - if it is Snow, The Cat is replaced by The Owl, and if it is the Volcano, The Cat is replaced by The Ram.

The Cat — In-Depth Analysis
The Cat is one of the four secondary unkillable monsters of 99 Nights in the Forest, ranking beside The Owl, The Ram, and The Bat. Its HP is N/A (unkillable), so combat is never the answer here, and the numbers it does have are terrifying: a brutal 78 damage per hit paired with a blistering walkspeed of 60. That speed is the real killer, since it badly outruns a normal survivor, so simply sprinting away in a straight line will not save you.
Crucially, the Cat is biome-gated. It only spawns when the Jungle Biome is present in your run; if your map rolls Snow instead it is replaced by The Owl, and if Volcano, by The Ram. So encountering the Cat at all tells you which biome you drew.
Because you cannot fight it, survival is about reading the terrain. Break line of sight using trees and structures rather than trying to out-sprint that walkspeed of 60, and never get caught in the open Jungle where one or two hits at 78 damage can end a healthy survivor almost instantly. Keep escape routes planned whenever the Jungle is in play.
