Sketchy Salesman

The Sketchy Salesman is an NPC added in the Offerings update of April 18th, 2026. He wears a grey trenchcoat and a hat, occasionally spawns at night, and is usually found within 20 studs of the campfire. Interacting with him opens a shop where you spend 10 diamonds for a random Offering, and every roll is equally likely among the available Offerings.

The Offerings the wiki describes are these. The Coinsplosion Offering makes Mossy Coins fly out of your campfire and raises their spawn rate across the map. The Fairy Offering gives level 1 of every seed box available from the Fairy, excluding the potion seed boxes, and raises resource spawn rates. The Blue Offering makes the campfire immune to rain and cuts fuel consumption significantly. The Red Chest Offering increases the spawn rate of Ruby Chests, but already explored parts of the map will not upgrade, so it should be used as early as possible. The Pet Offering shortens the time needed to tame animals. The Thanksgiving Offering lets players build a Crock Pot and cook 10 specific meals within 5 in-game days for arriving NPC guests, earning tiered rewards such as diamonds, furniture, badges and gear.

The wiki advises against buying from him regularly. Each purchase gives only a random, temporary benefit for one game, paid in diamonds, which are a rare permanent currency. It can make sense during a challenge or if you already have a large diamond reserve.
