Ice Sword

The Ice Sword is a Snow Biome melee weapon with a serious punch: its listed damage is roughly 3,545 per hit, putting it well above early swords and squarely in late-game territory. As a sword it gives you fast, reliable close-range damage with no ammo to manage, so it shines against the tougher mobs and bosses you meet once you've pushed into the frozen regions.

Acquisition is the catch. It only appears in Ice Chests, which spawn in the Polar Bear Cave and the Ice Temple, both deep Snow Biome locations. There's no crafting path and no early shortcut, so you have to physically explore that biome and gamble on chest spawns to find one. That means it's a reward for committed cold-region runs, not something you'll stumble on at the Campfire.

Is it worth grabbing? Strongly yes if you're already venturing into the snow. With ~3,545 damage it can carry you through fights that would shred weaker gear, and as melee it never runs dry mid-battle. If you crack open an Ice Chest and see it, take it immediately and make it your primary sidearm for the rest of the run.
