Ice Temple — In-Depth Analysis
The Ice Temple is a Structure with a guaranteed rarity, which puts it firmly on the must-clear list once you find it — but it is also one of the most dangerous interiors in the game, because it is packed with cultists rather than passive loot. Its inhabitants include ordinary Cultists, a Crossbow Cultist and a Juggernaut Cultist, a roster that turns the temple into a pitched battle from the doorway.
The payoff justifies the threat. The Ice Temple can drop the Gem of the Forest and Cultist Gem alongside various other rewards, making it one of the richest premium-currency sources you can raid. Clearing it is effectively cashing in on the temple economy, and the guaranteed spawn means the run is repeatable rather than luck-dependent.
The Juggernaut Cultist is the linchpin of the danger — it absorbs heavy punishment and hits hard — while the Crossbow Cultist threatens you from range as you push the chokepoints. Do not attempt this solo with weak gear. Bring strong weapons, ideally a team, focus the ranged crossbow threat early, save the Juggernaut for last, and only commit when you can survive a sustained indoor fight.
