Kunai — In-Depth Analysis
The Kunai, also called Throwing Knives, holds a unique niche as the only non-reloading ranged weapon in the game. There's no clip and no reload animation to wait through — you just throw. The trade-off is power: each hit deals only 35 damage, which is tiny next to the thousands you'll see on chests-tier swords and cannons, so this is a finesse and utility tool, not a damage dealer.
What it's actually good for is poking, finishing, and harassing from a safe distance without the downtime that other ranged weapons impose. Against weak mobs or to chip a fleeing target, throwing knives are clean and reliable, but you should never expect them to carry a serious fight at 35 per throw.
Sourcing ties into the Assassin theme. You can buy the Assassin Class to get them, or find them in Ruby Chests. There's also a class synergy worth noting: at Assassin level 1 there's a 5% chance for a Kunai to spawn in any chest, rising to 10% at Assassin level 3. Worth grabbing as a light, ammo-free backup, but treat it as a supplement to a real weapon, not your main answer to survival.
