Paint Brush

Item in 99 Nights in the Forest

About

The Paint Brush is a tool that can be used to repaint Furniture at your Campfire base. It can be obtained in spawn via the Decorator Class and from the side of the Horse's carriage. It can also be obtained if you buy the Decorater Gamepass for 199 robux. To use a Paint Brush, you have to equip it, choose one out of 32 colors (or just use the default blue color,) see if any nearby Furniture becomes highlighted with your selected color, and hold down the "e" key/interact button to paint. Most furniture cannot be painted, except beanbags, cushions and cloth frame.

Paint Brush — In-Depth Analysis

The Paint Brush is a purely cosmetic tool with zero survival value, so don't confuse it for gear that keeps you alive. It doesn't restore hunger, deal damage, or provide warmth, its entire job is repainting furniture around your Campfire base. If your goal is surviving 99 nights, this sits firmly in the optional, base-beautification category.

You can pick one up in a few ways: spawning in with the Decorator Class, grabbing it from the side of the Horse's carriage, or buying the Decorator Gamepass for 199 Robux. To use it, equip the brush, choose from one of 32 colors (or stick with the default blue), watch for nearby furniture to highlight in your chosen shade, then hold the interact key to paint. Note that most furniture can't be painted at all, only beanbags, cushions, and cloth frames accept new colors.

Is it worth grabbing? Only if you care about decorating and have a stable base already. It contributes nothing to food, defense, or fuel, so newer players grinding for survival should ignore it. For decorators personalizing a long-running camp, though, it's a fun touch.
