The Vampire Cloak is an armor set introduced in the Carnival Update for 99 Nights in the Forest, giving it both a cosmetic identity and a defensive role. As body armor it sits in your gear slot to absorb punishment, the kind of layer that matters most when night raids and tougher enemies start chewing through your health.
Getting it splits into two clear paths. The grind route is to complete the Hedge Maze and open the Hedge Maze Chest at the end, a one-off reward for navigating that maze challenge. The shortcut is the class route: if you equip the Vampire Class, you spawn already wearing the Cloak, so class players never have to touch the maze for it.
Is it worth chasing? That depends on how you play. For Vampire Class mains it is automatic and pairs naturally with their themed kit, so there is no decision to make. For everyone else, the Hedge Maze is a meaningful detour, and the Cloak is best treated as a nice trophy from a run you were already doing rather than a must-have you build your night around.
