Coal

Coal is the Christmas Trinket with no upside: it decreases Stealth by 10% and both walk and run speed by 10%. A 5-star Toon drops from 20 walk and 30 run to 18 and 27, and the lost Stealth makes Twisteds notice you sooner. The wiki is blunt that it provides no benefit, and even as a distraction tool Scrapbook does the job better because it does not slow you down.

The one case it describes as mildly viable is a very fast Toon with average or high Stealth acting as a distractor, such as Pebble or Razzle & Dazzle on odd floors. Even Dog Plush cannot fully cancel the speed loss: a 10% walk boost against a 10% cut leaves walking at about 1% below normal while running stays 10% down. For a self-imposed challenge the wiki suggests pairing it with Brick on Shrimpo, Soulvester or Connie.

It came from 100% Research on Twisted Coal, a Rare Twisted, during the Christmas Event, and was added on January 10, 2025 with Festive Lights, Peppermint Icing and Toy Kit. As a Limited holiday Trinket it is no longer obtainable, and it was never sold for Ichor. The Coal Toon, with its Scout ability, is a separate entry.
