Fishing Rod gives you a map of the floor for 5 seconds: when a new Floor arrives, every Machine location is highlighted. That window is short, but it is exactly the information that matters on arrival. The wiki's advice is to use it to memorize routes, for example by counting how many Machines sit on the left, in the back and on the right, and to call them out to teammates so the Trinket works as a support tool.
It suits extractors that also move well. The Toons that profit are the ones with high Movement Speed and low Extraction Speed, such as Pebble, Razzle & Dazzle and Waxwell at 5 stars of speed, because knowing where the Treadmill machines are lets them contribute without slowing the team. Dyle's Floor, with 25 Machines, is the extreme case where a quick overview matters most.
The unlock is 100% Research on Twisted Finn, an Uncommon Twisted. Finn's own mechanics are unusual: he ignores barriers when chasing a Toon with Twisted Barnaby attached, and he can spawn Ichor Puddles that apply Slow for 10 seconds. Fishing Rod arrived on August 14, 2024 with Blushy Bat, Savory Charm, Sweet Charm and Vanity Mirror. It has no Ichor price and is available now.
