The Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper is a tall man in a black straw hat and scarf, brown overalls and black gloves, with bony arms covered in vines, two glowing yellow eyes and a hollow metal scythe. He is the caretaker of The Outdoors and, as the in-game Curious Light says after you die to him, he is not even meant to attack players. He was added on August 10, 2025 and stands about 2.1 m tall. He is classed as neutral and fatal.

Stay off the grass

He cuts weeds, plants bugleweed and roams near an outhouse. When he sees a player on the grass he grunts, then shouts "Hey" and runs at you. Step off the grass and he stops and makes a hostile gesture, though he can still hit you for a brief moment afterward. His scythe deals 35 damage on the first hit or 60 on the second, both non-lethal, and a stomp kills. He cannot attack you in a toolshed, and he will not get angry while cutting weeds, planting bugleweed or killing another player.

Allies and enemies

He runs at active Mandrakes to impale them. At the end of Eyestalk's chase he cuts the entity in half, and at the end of the floor he dropkicks Bramble into a river. He wraps dead players in a sack.
