Flashlight

The Flashlight is the standard electric light, and it reaches further than most: the wiki says it can be bought in The Hotel, The Mines, The Outdoors and The Rooms, and it can appear as early as Door 1. Jeff charges 200 Gold, with a 60% chance of stocking it in The Hotel and 100% in The Mines, and the Pre-Run Shop sells it for 100 Knobs. Before SUPER HARD MODE it cost 100 Gold.

A full charge lasts 2 minutes (30 seconds per bar), or 1 minute with the Wear and Tear modifier. Each battery gives back 60 seconds, so two batteries fill it. When it runs dry it stays in your inventory, unusable until you find more batteries, and you can swap it for one with a higher charge.

Strong points

• Bright, long-range directional light that can stun Giggle.
• Never explodes a Firedamp leak, unlike the Lighter.
• Can be switched off to save charge.

Weak points

It can flicker and shut itself off, which lets Figure hear it, it malfunctions when you are wet, and it angers Gloombats. It also stops spawning once any player already holds a Flashlight or, in The Hotel, a Lighter.
