Starlight Bottle guide

The Starlight Bottle is the mid-sized member of the Starlight family and the only one you can pick up in the last room of The Backdoor. It costs 100 Gold there, and the Halloween Spotlight event listing prices it at 400 Gold. It was added on March 15, 2024, during The Hunt: First Edition.

Drinking it heals 50 HP, which the wiki describes as half of the maximum health bar, and gives a speed boost plus a small radius of light for roughly 10 seconds. If you drink it while above half health, the surplus becomes a fast-draining "Star-Shield" overheal instead of being wasted. You cannot chain two bottles back to back: after the effect ends you wait a few seconds before the next one works.

The second rift

Carry it into The Hotel or The Mines and drop it into the rift in The Reception, The Electrical Room, The Adit or The Woods to open Curious Light's yellow rift. That extra rift holds one set of items, but it vanishes if you take an item out or swap anything inside it, and you can only have one at a time.

Strengths and limits

Because the Gold price is paid inside The Backdoor, a run that collects 100 coins can reset health before heading to The Hotel. The bottle is strong enough to push through a hit from Rush or A-60 as long as you drink it first, which the weaker Starlight Vial cannot do.
