Abyssal Maw guide

The Abyssal Maw cannot be caught today. It is listed as Limited and carries the Unobtainable tag, with Cults Curse as its former zone, so there is no bait, hour or season to plan around any more. What is left is what it was.

On paper it was a heavyweight. An average Maw weighed 1,150 kg, in a range of 500 to 3,550 kg, which ranks 120th of 663 by max weight. At C$1.70 per kg, the average sale was C$1,960, 261st of 742 by average value. Base XP was 1,000.

In Cults Curse, Bloodscript Eel, Eldritch Spineback, Hollow Gazer, Profane Ray, The Whispering One and Veilborn Parasite share the same rarity label. That is a crowded pool, and the Maw sits among them as one that has been retired.

The wiki describes a jagged maw rising from the abyss with an appetite that goes beyond what is imaginable.

Verdict: nothing to farm here. If you came looking for a target, read this as history, and look at its siblings in Cults Curse if you want something you can actually fish up.
