Butterflyfish guide

Roslit Bay offers plenty of tackle, and Butterflyfish is the kind of easy catch you can make there. It bites on Flakes during the Day, in Clear or Foggy weather, in any season. The wiki lists it as Uncommon, and every fish weighs about 1 kg.

At C$74 per kg, that single kilo is also the average sale: C$74. In the table of 742 documented fish it ranks 616th, near the bottom. The base XP is 60. So the numbers are small, but the conditions are easy.

Clownfish is the other Uncommon fish in Roslit Bay and is a comparable catch there. Five rods are sold in the area: Blazebringer Rod, Magma Rod, Fortune Rod, Rapid Rod and Steady Rod. That is an unusually deep selection for a single zone, so you can shop around before you cast.

The takeaway: this is a beginner-friendly fish. Nothing about it is hard to meet, so it is good filler when you have Flakes in your bag and want something reliable. Do not expect it to fund upgrades. Sell it, pick up a rod you like in the bay, and move on to the pricier species that Roslit Bay also holds.
