Lovestorm Eel

Lovestorm Eel was a lovely but dangerous creature, striking with unpredictable ruthlessness and thriving in a rare storm. It is marked Unobtainable, so what follows is a record of a fish you can no longer catch. It lived in Roslit Bay, in Clear weather during Winter, and took Chocolate Fish as bait.

Its size was extraordinary. An average specimen weighed 5,250 kg, from 3,596.3 kg at minimum up to 14,440.6 kg, and that maximum ranks 83rd of 663 for weight. It sold for C$11,250, 119th of the 742 documented fish by average value, and paid 10,000 base XP. The price per kg was just C$2.14, meaning its worth came almost entirely from sheer bulk.

Ashcloud Archerfish, Burnt Betta, Mossjaw Tail, Shark Fang and Spine Blade shared its rarity in the same bay, and the zone sold Blazebringer Rod, Magma Rod, Fortune Rod, Rapid Rod and Steady Rod. For a player, the Lovestorm Eel is a reference point: an enormous Winter catch worth well over the average documented fish. Its Supercharged cousin, listed separately, was the bigger prize. If you see an Eel in a trade, it is a piece of past event history, and nothing about it can be replaced.
