Gorgon Grouper guide

Gorgon Grouper lives in Veil of the Forsaken and is classed Unusual. It takes Minnow with no restriction on time or season, though the weather needs to be Clear.

Weights range from 60 kg to 346.5 kg with a 112.5 kg average. At C$9 per kg an average catch sells for C$1,022, ranking 320th of the 742 documented fish by value, and its maximum weight is 215th of 663. Base XP is 1,350, which is generous.

Leviathan's Fang Rod is the one rod sold in the zone, which makes it the clear pairing. No other fish of the same rarity is documented there, so Gorgon Grouper has no local rival for Unusual bites.

Verdict: a solid, low-effort catch. Minnow is a simple bait, there is no clock to watch and only Clear weather to wait for. The payout is modest at about C$1,000, but the XP is decent and the weight is large, which makes it a fine fish to pick up on the way through Veil of the Forsaken. If you want serious money, aim higher, but do not skip it when it bites.
