Cutlass Fish guide

Looking for a step up from the Common fish of Forsaken Shores? Cutlass Fish is Unusual rarity and bites on Worm during the Day in Spring, with Any weather. It runs 10 to 25 kg and averages 20 kg, a tighter spread than most fish its size.

At C$20 per kg an average catch sells for C$400, with 175 base XP. That ranks 414 of 742 documented fish for average value, a little under the midpoint, and its max weight ranks 381 of 663, which is closer to the middle. It is a respectable sale compared with the C$31 range of the shore's Common catches.

The other Unusual fish in the zone is Scurvy Sailfish. Forsaken Shores sells Great Rod Of Oscar and Scurvy Rod, so you can pick up either and fish here without a long trip.

Because it needs Spring, you will not find it in the other seasons, so check the calendar before you load Worm. The in-game text says it is "easy to spot, harder to hook," which is a fair reminder to bring a rod you trust. It is a decent mid-tier sale and worth keeping a few for a steady income.
