Mire Krakenling guide

In the Toxic Grove, a small kraken lurks for anglers who bring Squid. The Mire Krakenling is an Unusual fish that bites at Night, in Rain, during Spring, so you need a wet spring night to have a chance.

Its size is modest: 6 kg minimum, 7 kg average and 16.8 kg maximum, which ranks 417th of 663 fish with a documented maximum. At C$77.50 per kg the average catch is worth C$542.50, 386th of the 742 documented fish by average value. XP is 220. Those are middling numbers.

The only other Unusual documented in the same zone is Planterech, so the pool at this rarity is small here. The rods sold in the zone are Decayed Rod and Plaguereaver, meaning you can pick up gear locally before you start fishing.

The advice is simple: this is a fish for completing the Toxic Grove set, not for earning. If you are already there on a rainy spring night with Squid in your bag, take it. If you are looking to improve income or XP, higher rarities are the better target, and the setup for this one is stricter than its payout justifies.
