Manta Ray guide

Manta Ray is the Mythical fish of Roslit Bay's coral reefs, and it is a summer night job: Shrimp as bait, Night, Summer. The listing describes it as elegant and remarkably large, gliding with a wavy motion of its wing-like fins.

It averages 850 kg and can reach 2,100 kg, rank 139 of 663 by maximum weight. At C$3 per kg an average catch is worth C$2,550, which is rank 240 of the 742 documented fish, comfortably in the top third by value. It also pays 1,000 base XP, so a single catch is a real step forward for a mid-level angler.

Aurora Pearl is the other Mythical of the zone, which tells you the two compete for the same rare slot. Roslit Bay sells five rods (Blazebringer Rod, Magma Rod, Fortune Rod, Rapid Rod and Steady Rod), so you can arrive with whichever fits your budget.

The plan is simple: bring Shrimp, wait for Summer, fish at night and keep trying. Because its price per kg is low, the fish is only worth selling when it is big, so do not rush to sell a light one. For its tier, it is one of the more reachable Mythical fish.
