Chlorophage guide

Autumn, Windy weather and Seaweed as bait: that is the full recipe for the Chlorophage, a Mythical fish that lives in the Toxic Grove. The wiki describes it as a massive phage that devours chlorophyll and leaves plants as ash, which fits the zone's name.

The numbers are moderate for a Mythical. It averages 15 kg (5 kg minimum, 52.5 kg maximum) and sells for C$168 per kg, so an average catch is worth about C$2,520. That is 242nd of the 742 documented fish, so it pays better than most but is far from the top. Its maximum weight ranks 314th of 663. Base XP is 3,100, which is the more attractive part if you are levelling.

Toxified Crab is the other Mythical in the Toxic Grove, so you may reel in either while waiting for the right conditions. Two rods are sold in this zone, Decayed Rod and Plaguereaver, which makes the area self-sufficient for gearing up. My advice: only come here in Autumn when it is Windy, bring Seaweed, and treat the Chlorophage as a steady mid-value sale rather than a jackpot.
