Ribbon Eel guide

A reef fish with a vibrant blue or green body and a long, ribbon-like shape, the Ribbon Eel is listed in the Bestiary as best found in the coral reef of Roslit Bay. It is Unusual in rarity, uses Minnow bait, bites only in Summer, and the data places no limit on time of day or weather.

It weighs between 2 kg and 31.2 kg, with a 6.6 kg average. At C$10 per kg the average catch sells for roughly C$66, plus 150 base XP. Those figures rank it 635th of the 742 documented fish by average value and 356th of 663 by maximum weight. The XP is the best part: 150 is generous next to a price that low.

In Roslit Bay, the other Unusual fish are Clam, Nurse Shark and Rose Pearl. The bay is also a good place to pick up gear, since Blazebringer Rod, Magma Rod, Fortune Rod, Rapid Rod and Steady Rod are all sold there.

How to treat it: as a flexible Summer catch. Because weather and time do not matter, it is easy to fish, and Minnow is the only thing you need to carry. The money is small, so sell it without guilt, but if you are leveling in Roslit Bay during Summer, the 150 XP per catch makes it a useful fish to keep hooking.
