Sea Pickle guide

Sea Pickle is the odd Mythical in The Ocean: a small, tube-like creature with a glowing green body that is easy to spot at night. It needs Seaweed as bait, Night, Clear or Foggy weather, and Autumn or Summer. The entry says it wriggles out of nets and rods, which makes it tricky.

The size is almost nothing, from 0 to 2.5 kg with a 0.9 kg average, ranking 587th of 663 by maximum weight. The price carries it: C$2,000 per kg gives an average sale of C$1,800, 267th of the 742 documented fish, even though the base XP is only 60.

It shares the Mythical tier in The Ocean with Colossal Squid, Great Hammerhead Shark, Great White Shark, Mythic Fish, Oarfish and Whale Shark, so you are competing with six other rare results on the same water.

Verdict: this is a sell-it fish. The coins are excellent for something that weighs under a kilogram, but the XP will not move your level. Prepare the Seaweed, wait for a foggy or clear Summer or Autumn night, and treat each Sea Pickle as a payout rather than progress.
