Rock Gunnel

Barely worth a line in anyone's plan, the Rock Gunnel is an Extinct-rarity fish from the Open Ocean in the Second Sea. It takes Shrimp as bait and bites at Night, in Rain, during Spring.

Its weight runs from 6 kg to 29.4 kg, averaging 10 kg. At C$3.571 per kg, an average fish sells for just C$36, and it grants only 25 base XP. By average value it ranks 679th of the 742 documented fish, so only 63 are worth less. By maximum weight it reaches 362nd of 663, which shows that it has some size but almost no value behind it. The name Extinct might suggest a trophy, but in this case it does not translate to money.

Other Extinct fish share the Open Ocean with it: Apex Leviathan, Black Swallower, Four Eyes Fish, Pelican Eel, Psychedelic Frogfish and Sea Leviathan.

Verdict: do not go out of your way for it. If a Rock Gunnel arrives while you are fishing the Open Ocean at night, sell it and carry on. Only keep it if you want to finish a collection of Extinct fish. Rain in Spring is a poor reason to change your plans for C$36.
