Adventurer's Rod review
Adventurer's Rod is the Starter Rod of the Second Sea, so you do not buy it: it is what you begin with there. Its in-game line calls it feeble yet strangely familiar, which fits the numbers.
The stats are Luck 50, Lure Speed 60, Control 0, Resilience 15 and a maximum weight of 104 kg. Luck ranks 157th of 184 obtainable rods and Control 141st of 185, so it sits in the bottom third for finding fish and steadying the fight. Lure Speed is 112th of 184 and Resilience 105th, which are middling. The 104 kg cap is 107th of 117 rods with a listed limit, so heavy fish will break your run early.
None of that is a criticism. A starter rod is supposed to be replaceable, and this one gets you fishing without spending anything. Its Luck of 50 is already above Arctic Rod's 45, which costs C$25,000.
Use it to learn the Second Sea, build up C$, and then upgrade. When you buy the next rod, prioritize more Luck and a higher weight limit, because those are the two numbers where the Adventurer's Rod is weakest.
