Eidolon Rod review
Eidolon Rod is awarded at Stage 4 of Cultist Lair and costs 2,000,000C$ along with Level 350, which is a high bar for what you receive. Its Luck is only 50, 157th of 184 obtainable rods, and Resilience 0 is 161st of 184. The strengths are elsewhere: Lure Speed 100 ranks 21st of 184 and Control 0.25 ranks 15th of 185.
The in-game text talks about drawing the Phantom mutation, and it carries a passive, so this is a rod for a specific purpose, not a general upgrade. Judged on Luck per coin, cheaper rods beat it: Avalanche Rod has 68 Luck for C$35,000, Abyssal Specter Rod has 90 for C$850,000, and Champions Rod has 130 for C$90,000.
Pick Eidolon Rod only if you want its fast bite and tight Control together with the Phantom angle. If your aim is rarer fish through raw odds, put the 2 million coins toward something else.
