Rapid Rod review
Roslit Bay sells the Rapid Rod for C$12,000, and the name says it all. Its quote calls it an extremely fast rod with racing wings, and the numbers back the speed claim up while showing what was given away to get it.
Lure Speed of 89 ranks 53rd of 184 obtainable rods, which is clearly above the middle. Everything else is weak. Luck of 49 is 163rd of 184, Control of 0 is 141st of 185, and Resilience of 9 is 149th. The 800 kg weight cap is 94th of 117 rods that list one, so big catches are limited. It has no passive.
The price comparison is not kind. Anchor n' Chain (luck 50, C$5,000), Friendly Rod (luck 105, C$0) and Lucky Rod (luck 177, C$4,500) all cost less and match or beat its Luck. Its only real argument is speed, and even there it is 53rd, not elite.
Roslit Bay also sells the Blazebringer Rod, Magma Rod, Fortune Rod and Steady Rod, so you have alternatives right there. Verdict: a rod for quickly cycling casts on common fish when you have spare coins. If you are budgeting carefully, spend the C$12,000 on one of the cheaper high-Luck options instead and you will probably catch better fish.
